This is.....

This is getting old....fast.  I now find it difficult to do anything but sleep and read.  I get a little sewing done, some knitting but, otherwise it's just get in my recliner, tilt back and let the cat snuggle with me.   Granted I live in a warm.climate with a lot of acreage so I could go out when the sun is shining. The temps have been up and down....blackberry winter time.  That is, in the upper 30's to 40's at night then warm in the afternoon.  I don't go outside much due to a certain medication I have to take, especially if the temps are above the 70's.  I learned that lesson the hard way but won't go into specifics......too nasty.
I can't help but wonder if there isn't something else going on behind all this.  Seems all there is on the news is about Covid-19.  I don't watch the news anymore.  I think we're being told too much of some things and not enough of others.
I have observed that there are those who believe rules don't pertain to them.  Lots of out of county/state license plates on the road.  Lots of people not wearing masks or maintaining distance in public places, like the super market.  Forget the gloves, they're useless.  Just wash your damn hands!!
I don't go out much....only to get things I need.  But I don't need TP like some hogs.  Mostly just milk, juice and some fresh veggies (which I get from the stand just down the road).
I sense Mother Nature's hand (as well as carelessness in a lab) in all this.  Time to show us who is really in charge?  I'm to a "tree hugger" but I do believe we have over populated this home of ours and are damaging it in ways that may not be repairable.
There are a lot of "I's" in this post but it is mine, after all.  And these are just my opinions.  There is one thing we might agree on though.  It will be great when this is all over and we can be close to family and friends again.  I miss hugs.

How much longer?

It's been two weeks.  How much longer is it going to be?  Who knows.  I've quit watching the news as it's the same thing over and over.  We've had a few more cases here, probably caused by carelessness or outsiders.  I've been to the market a few times and can't believe the number of people who are not wearing masks.  Gloves seem to end up on the ground in the parking lot.  Geesh.  The market people got wise and now the aisles are one way only.  That, at least, keeps some distance between bodies.  I suggested that plan to the folks at Dollar General since their aisles are a lot closer together.  While I've been getting some sewing and knitting done, I've also started reading books.  There's nothing on the boob tube really and I record what I want to watch.  One of my rules to myself, which maybe comes from childhood, is no TV during the day.
Wish the weather would make up it's mind.  Night before last I though I just might have to head for the basement with the cat.  Wind like you wouldn't believe, lightning without thunder save for one humongous flash/bang.  It woke me up, the wind that is.  It was ferocious.  Truth to tell I was kinda listening for the sound of the train.  Didn't happen here but it did not far south.
Guess I'd better get a move on.  Don't know what I'm going to do, but something.  Sewing, knitting, reading.......
Y'all have a good day and hang in there.
