I got back home Saturday evening after the quilt show. It was fun but tiring. Didn't get a chance to wind down until yesterday afternoon 'cause daughter was here with children and friend. It's great to see them so I didn't get on the 'puter. Didn't want to be rude, you know. The show had some beautiful quilts and the winner was awesome. Red, white and blue with a song stitched along the border (Proud to be an American) on the back. Even the back of the quilt was show worthy. There weren't as many vendors it seemed and some of my favorites weren't there. One, however, was and I will be placing a special order with him. He has some of the most beautiful batiks!
Sharing a room with three other women was an experience. I'm not sure I want to do it again. Not that we didn't get along. We got along fine. It's just the lack of privacy and there was only one bathroom. I'll be looking into rooms for the March show, but not one for four people. Next year in September, again at the Galleria, hopefully the hotel right next door will have a block of rooms set aside for the show. They didn't this year and I wasn't impressed with the one at which we stayed.
Time to catch up with chores. Y'all have a great day and remember: you're never too old for nap time.

Going to be at the Georgia Quilt Show the next few days. Will be sharing a room with three other women. That should be interesting. I've already claimed the rollaway bed. I'll let the other three have fun deciding who's going to share the king-sized bed and who will take the pull out couch bed. It'll also be interesting to see how we manage to all get ready at the same time in the morning. I know I have to be at the show at or before 8 a.m. so I may be the first one up. We'll see. Luckily I like the other three women otherwise things might be just a bit difficult. It's going to be a long three days. I'll let you know how it goes. Meanwhile remember: Duct tape has 1,001 uses. Toilet paper is not one of them.

Atheists want to take the pledge of allegiance out of the schools because of the words "under God". Those words were not in the original version of the pledge but were inserted in 1954. I believe the pledge should be said each and every day. In order to pacify the atheists just take out those two words. While some may protest they should stay because we are a "Christian" nation, our diversity and strength should hold us together and we are pledging allegiance to our country, not our religion(s).

I think I've mentioned that the gallery is closing. At first it was going to be the end of August. It's now moved to the end of the year. I don't see why we should stay open. Our take last month was a whopping $40. I've decided to start bringing supplies home and just sit and knit, kinda like Mme, LeFarge while waiting for the hoards to buy out the place. Right. Jaymi and I are tired of keeping the doors open. No one wants to take on the responsibility of finding another place nor take charge of running one. As for me, I'll be glad not to be on a schedule. I might even be able to get some stuff done around here. Or travel.
Anyway, y'all have a gorgeous day and remember: chiggers suck.
