Unfortunately the weather can't make up it's mind. One day rainy and mild, the next sunny and cold. Pneumonia weather. To top it all off just about everyone is panicking re: Corona virus. The media is making it worse. Taking the same precautions as against the flu is what is needed. It is worse for elderly people, particularly those with breathing problems or weak immune systems. I'm angry with the media for their doomsday predictions. No wonder the stock market has taken a big hit. Quite frankly I can't help but wonder if this is some kind of nefarious plan by China. I'm no doubt wrong but...this type of flu has been around since 2003. How did it all of the sudden come out in China? I bet if the media shut its "mouth" the panic would die down. It's either that or maybe shut our borders to all incoming and outgoing.
Yes, I'm ranting. My daily routine is not going to halt. I will take the same precautions I do every year at this time. And I will travel in country. Okay, I'm done. Carry on.

Mother Nature
Dear Mama Nature,
I wish you would make up your mind. PLEASE.
First it's cold and wet, then it's warm and wet, then it's cold and dry, then it's warm and dry. Then it's.....well you get the picture. One doesn't know how to dress for your weather since one doesn't know what the weather is going to be. Because of the time of year I tend to dress for colder weather. I'm learning, however, to layer since it's cold in the morning, then it sometimes warms up midday, then cools down in the afternoon. Frankly, I don't want to leave the house but do because I have to shop for groceries, get my mail, etc.
I suppose I should be grateful that we haven't had the weather as has Australia and other parts of the world but I do believe we here have had more than our share of the wet stuff. I'm beginning to feel downright soggy. Also, the daffodils and other plants are also getting confused. The daffs are in bloom but other plants don't know if they should or not. The poor dogwood trees are loaded with buds but don't know what to do with them yet.
So, please Mama, make up your mind.
I love you anyway.

Wither the weather
It's cold this morning...in the 20's, then it's going to go up to the mid to high 50's. Did the same thing yesterday. I call it pneumonia weather. You don't know how to dress for going out. These days I layer. For the most part, however, if I don't have to go anywhere I don't. I especially stay away from places like Walmart unless I absolutely need something I can't get anywhere else.
I had a great trip in January. Australia and New Zealand. It's summer there. I'd go back to New Zealand in a heartbeat given the chance. A beautiful country and really nice people. Where else can you find people volunteering all over a city to give directions to tourists? Australia was nice as well and so were the people. Went to Uluru (Ayers Rock) and boy, was it hot! More resorts now than when I first went, which is understandable but disappointing. While in Sydney I wanted to do the bridge climb but wasn't allowed because of my age. I was told I needed a certificate of fitness from my doctor. Well, that wasn't possible so......I climbed the bridge in Aukland! So there.
Back to the weather....it's supposed to start with the rain again...sigh. So depressing! I'll be happy when the warmer weather comes along with the sun.
If you ever get the chance to go "Down Under" take it. Also, New Zealand is welcoming those who wish to live and work there.

Wow, what frustration.
I'm back (sort of) after months of not being able to figure out how to get here. Blogger changed everything and when I tried to sign on it wouldn't let me. Now I've lost months of news from those I followed. I'm beginning to think it isn't worth it except for those whom I've sort of gotten to know. Guess I'm just going to have to start over 'cause there's just too much to try to catch up.
Y'all have a great day.
