Where I've Been

It's been a couple of weeks since I've been online.  I've been away.  In Indonesia on a cruise.  It was nice and hot and humid.  Very hot and humid and, despite the fact that it was during rainy season, very non-rainy.  Yes, I was in Jakarta....but a week before the poo-poo hit the oscillator.  We had to bypass Surabaya because of it.  That was to be our last port of call.  Just as well as the good food and drink finally got to my lower gut.  All in all a great trip and I learned a lot about the art of making batik.  I even brought back some of the instruments used for such.  I tried my hand in Samarang but the results are not good.  Lots of places where the wax blobbed (is that a word?).  Singapore is quite the city/state.  Lots of places to see and two half days are not enough.  Our last night there we did a great tour.  All those lights!  Will tell more about the trip in the future.  Right now I really need to get my nails looked after.
