Got up at o'dark thirty this morning to finish some planting at the art center. The other days when I was planting it was way too hot (and it's October!) even at 9:00. Finished this morning just as the sun was coming up and had just enough light. It was an interesting experience trying to plant in half light but at least it wasn't hot.
Decided to treat myself to breakfast at one of the local restaurants. The Sautee Trail Cafe is not far from me and is always crowded on Sunday morning. Happily I got there before the breakfast rush. Even so, they were pretty busy already. Pancakes, sausage and coffee filled me up quickly. The sausage was nice and spicy. A young girl was trying to learn the register...not easy when the place is busy. People were patient, though. A good thing. I hope they're as patient after church.
Y'all have a good day and remember: You're not getting older, you're reaching perfection.

I used to love going out to eat breakfast on Sunday morning. Haven't been in quite a while, though. Sounds like you had a good one!
Sounds like a pleasant morning. I love breakfast food. I'm always patient with new people. Serving others is often a thankless task.
HJ, yes it was good. I'm thinking maybe I should treat myself more often.
Sixbears, I've waited tables and know how cheap some people can be. If the service is good I leave a good tip. And trying to learn the cash register is a b..ch.
Been eating out a lot on our 3 week trip, and I'm ready for some home cooking. Had some good meals though, in different parts of the country. Hubby says he's ready for a Mexican lunch, something we dared not try in the northeast.
