I'm back from the quilt retreat. It was a good time with friends and even productive. I finally finished binding the quilt from hell (long story) and got some other hand work done. I'm home for the weekend, have a doctor's appointment tomorrow (3 month check), then on Tuesday it's off to work the Sewing and Quilt Expo in Lawrenceville for 5 days. I'm also taking three classes. I do believe I'll be good and tired when I get home. My friend A will be watching my kitties again, bless her. After this I don't plan on going anywhere until August. Of course, that may change but...so far I haven't seen any classes at William Holland or John C. Campbell that I want to take this year.
Got some sewing done yesterday. We give comfort quilts to members who have lost a loved one or are going through really bad times. So I'm making some squares for that 'cause I got in the mood after the retreat. I may still be in the mood after the expo. Then again I may just want to sleep.
The weather has been fickle. Wish it would make up it's mind. Although some days are warm and sunny I won't be planting anything until after Easter. Safer that way. Whenever I observe people buying plants on a warm sunny day before Easter I know they'll have to come back after those plants have succumbed to the cold blast we usually get. It's hard to resist sometimes, though. My daffodils, narcissus, etc. are blooming like crazy and the iris are beginning to grow up. Hyacinths and crocus are blooming also. However, it's been down into the 30's at night so.....
Y'all have a great day. Don't jump the gun on planting 'cause I'd hate for you to have to pay for plants twice. And remember: he who dies with the most toys and she who dies with the most fabric....are still dead.

You are really staying busy, aren't you? Better save some of that energy...never know when you might need it!
Goodness, but you've been busy, haven't you? I found some fabric when I was unpacking boxes last week, so I need to get my sewing machine out and see what happens... I do need some new place mats.
We've had enough sunny days lately (and then back to bitter cold) that I've started planning the garden for this year, but I'm going to take your advice and wait a bit longer. I can still do the preliminary work ahead of time though. Garden edging, preparing for mulch, etc. I just love this time of year.... so many possibilities!
