Last week the temperatures were up in the upper 60's to low 70's. It was 32 this morning when I let the cat out (who, by the way, turned right round to come back in). Looks like the growing season is REALLY over. I'm pretty sure the vegetable stand will be closing any day now. Two days ago I was laid low by my body, feeling dizzy and really tired. Slept most of the day. Yesterday I was fine.. I think it was trying to tell me that the weather was definitely going to change. Now if we could just get some rain.
Going to try to get stuff priced for the Mistletoe Market at the gallery. Also making the usual meringues. They'll keep until I get back and I won't have to worry about doing that before Christmas. I may even go get my tree tomorrow. Usually I wait until after Thanksgiving but if the weather holds cold like this it should be fine out on the porch in a bucket of water until I want to put it up. Just one more thing out of the way.
I'm blessed to have a friend who watches after my kitties while I'm gone. I watch hers when she's away so it works out well. This next trip is to Czechoslovakia and Germany. We'll be meeting with a quilt group in Prague, then boarding the boat in Nuremberg. The trip ends in Frankfurt where I'll board the plane for home. Since I've never been to these countries I'm excited to see what they have to offer. I'm making sure I pack warm clothing 'cause I know it's gonna be cold.
Y'all have a sunshine kinda day and remember: not all who wander are lost.

Meringues and Christmas trees - Holiday season is indeed here, huh?
I'm sure the Holiday markets in Germany are going to be wonderful! I'm jealous - loved Rothenburg in March, and their several year-round Christmas shops. Enjoy!!
Hey, Baby Sis...I plan on enjoying this trip and just may bring back some Christmas presents. OF course quilt shops are on the list, too.
