Sitting here, drinking orange juice, reading good posts. I'd ask my daughter to send me five words, but I'm not good at word smithing so I'll skip that I think. It looks to be a glorious day. Actually any day I'm still here is glorious. Think I'll try to actually get something done. I've spent the last two days trying to play catch up from being away for a week. Another HVAC person is coming over to give an estimate on a new system. One that will actually keep me cool in the summer and warm in the winter.
It was wonderfully cool last night. Great for sleeping. Only 48 when I got up. Wow, talk about a change in the weather! Don't know how long it will last, though. It does seem as though Autumn has come a bit early for this area. I don't mind. The weeds will die sooner and I can clear some places out without having to pull them. Maybe I can find the 4 underground bee nests, if M (he does my mowing for me) can't find them tomorrow. They are not nice bees and must go. I wondered why he didn't weed eat in a particular area. I left him a note in case he mowed while I was gone and he wrote me one back explaining why. Yellowjackets! I don't blame him. And although he wrote I could dock some of his pay, I told him, no way. I do wish he had told me sooner when the weeds weren't so high. I could have gotten rid of them more easily. Oh well. I'll get 'em.

It was a delicious night for sleeping with windows open...kities curled around me, all four of them! I was not cold, but the nip in the air was delightful.

Go get them bees!!

When's William Holland? I may invade, have a fire in the fireplace, make soup, bake bread, let the Evil Genius run amok in the woods...con te permisso, of course.

Shade and Sweetwater,
K (who will send you five words anyway, if you want 'em, because she thinks you'll do just fine)

It's next week and yes you may invade. Just remember to open the damper if you start a fire.
