Daughter and family are home. They had quite a week and some adventures that you can read about at http://kyddryn.blogspot.com . Unfortunately the adventures didn't stop there. Yesterday they found out that the "disposable" diaper liners that are "flushable" aren't so flushable after all. I received a call from daughter telling me that she was doing a load of laundry and......... (maybe the floor at least got clean). A few hours later I received another call, this one from the nice man who actually came out to check things out. It seems that when the septic tank was emptied last year in May, the requisite 4 - 6 inches of sludge containing all that good bacteria was not left behind sooooooo there was nothing in the tank to eat up whatever was put in. And those "disposable" and supposedly biodegradable nappy liners just sat there taking up room and eventually they and more paper floated to the top thereby blocking the intake pipe, etc., etc. I see a lot of RidX in the future. And no more nappy liners down the toilet. It's also recommended that they flush twice just to make sure the paper goes all the way into the tank. Seems the new "water saver" toilets may save water, but aren't sufficient always to get everything to the tank on the first flush.
Okay, now that I've spoiled your breakfast, lunch or dinner.......
I'm off to get rid of some wild cherry treelings so I can see my pond from the kitchen window. It looks like I may need to go down to the pond but I can't really tell because of the wild cherry stuff. If it isn't too hot I'm going also to the garden to do some more weeding so I can plant the tomato and pepper plants that are now on my porch in their little pots.
Y'all have a grand day and remember: Freedom of speech means freedom to disagree.

Glad the kids made it home and are back within hollering distance!
I hope you have a good time at the pond. Never know just what you may find when you start looking around!
Hey, glad you stopped by. Didn't make it to the pond. It got too hot. Have a wonderful day.
