Customer NOservice

I decided that registereing my displeasure with their service by phone was not polite so I toddled over to the computer repair shop (Tek-Choice) to speak with the "tecnician" in person.  First I asked why I had Malware installed.  The answer?  "That's how I get rid of the viruses on your computer, ma'am". was the surly answer.  (I don't have any viruses on my computer! It gets scanned every day.) Okay then....I asked why they didn't look inside when I specifically said that it was possible that a lady beetle or two might have wandered in (don't laugh, it's possible).  "Do you want a refund?"  "No I would like an answer."  Once I had mentioned the word inside when they called to say they couldn't find anything wrong they checked and lo and behold there were little itty bitty pieces of black plastic and a brass cog-like thingy wandering around.  I have them in a baggy.  I started to ask why they didn't investigate the origins of said items when he walked away from me saying "Thank you."  to which I replied that I would not be using their services any more and that I would tell people about this experience.  I have the name and address of the CEO of the company and plan to write him a letter.  I'll be polite but will let him know that there will never be a recommendation from me for his company.  So now my CD drive doesn't work but I can't prove it was anything they did.  Looks like I'll be looking for a new repair person......sigh.

Looks like they are messing with the wrong person. Hope you get satisfaction. Thanks to your blog, you've already let many people know what kind of Nonservice to expect from that company.

Doesn't sound like much of a repair person to me! You give 'em hell, girl!

They just have NO idea who they are messing with!

I think I've talked to that same guy (or one just like him). I took a laptop to a shop and asked the guy when I could expect to pick it up. He said 2-3 days. 3.5weeks later it still wasn't fixed. When I asked him about it he told me to take it home and fix it myself.
