Our area is in the extreme drought area on the weather map. We're about 14" short of normal. It may (or may not) rain today and, for once, I would welcome it. Just a gentle rain, not a gully washer. Gully washers don't do any good as they don't give the water time to soak into the ground. Last night on the news we were told that we "might" get some showers today. I'll believe it when it happens. I may have to shake my rain rattle. At least now there's no need to water the garden. The only things that might still be ripening are the pear-shaped tomatoes. I'll check today and see.
On another front, I'm trying to keep busy so I don't sit and brood. I hear disturbing things about what's going on in my daughter's home and I don't like it. I've about reached the end of my rope with the whole thing and I won't be tying a knot to hang on. I'm tired of the whole mess. I had hoped that she would open her eyes and see the real person. Maybe she is beginning to. I'll find out when she comes up today.
Okay, enough gloom. Y'all have a delightful day and remember: VOTE!

We could use some rain, too, Momlady. The forecast says maybe Monday, to get all the little trick-or-treaters wet, but more likely Tuesday or Wednesday.
I personally washed my hands of that person in K's life years ago. Only so much forgiving can be tolerated by this old body. But, I'll pray for the kids and hope the light comes on soon.
Sis....things are looking up. Thanks for the prayers.
We've had a lot of rain . . . and snow lately. Our drought was considered moderate, but many wells were starting to go dry. Can't complain about the rain, but I wouldn't mind sending some of it down your way.
Maybe things will work out. I sure hope so, one way or another. It's a shame that the kids will have to go through the whole mess, no matter how it works out.
I'm thinking rain thoughts for ya!
