Yesterday at the gallery was fun. There were three of us there and we had a great time chatting and "doing our thing". While I knitted the others worked on their pottery. We had a couple come in looking for gifts....yay. Hopefully we get more. It would seem that this year some people are trying to buy local (or at least American) and I hope it kicks the Asians in the ass. Whatever happened to hand-made?
It's cold this morning.....28. Looks like I'll have to put on the hand knit leg warmers I made. As well as the cowl I knit (to keep head and neck warm).
Before you go out to the evil empire (Walmart) or any of the other big stores, consider going to your local gallery or shops and looking for gifts there.
Okay, I've had my say. I will have to go to one or two stores to find something for grandchildren, but the adults will have to accept hand made.
Y'all have a gorgeous day and remember: There's no place like home....and nothing as good as home or hand made.

I think that handmade is the way to go!
I would certainly like it better than store bought! I give it when I can.
Glad to know that the visits to the gallery are picking up! Maybe that's a good sign!
I so agree about handmade!! We started that several years ago and have had a blast with it. We do baked, crocheted and hand painted stuff and enjoy doing it. I'm getting too much arthritis in my hands to do crocheting stuff much longer but will find something else to do. AND USA made is the best, too. Am going to a Christmas bazaar tomorrow to find what homemade I can for gifts.
Have a good day...blessings!
Jim...those survival bracelets would make great gifts.
CottonLady: I know you'll find something you can do. WTG. Thanks for stopping by.
